미크로네시아 연방의 교육

Education in the Federated States of Micronesia

미크로네시아 연방의 교육은 6세에서 13세 사이의 시민들에게 필수적이며,[1] 그들의 경제에 중요하다.[2] 15~24세 시민의 문해율은 98.8%[3]이다.

국가 교육 기관은 FSM 교육부다. 각 주에는 공립학교를 운영하는 자체 교육기관이 있다.

미크로네시아 대학은 제3의 기관이다.

역사

외국의 영향 이전에 미크로네시아에서의 교육은 일상 생활 경험이나 학습 기회와 거의 구별되지 않았다. 17세기 스페인의 영향력은 미크로네시아의 학습 경험을 학교에서 일어난 일로 바꾸었다. 이 제도는 1899년부터 독일의 영향력에 영향을 받기도 했다. 일본인들은 1914년에 그들의 엄격한 교육 모델을 미크로네시아에 가져왔다. 제2차 세계대전에 이어 미국은 미크로네시아에 그들만의 교육 모델을 가져왔다.[4]
