κ κ Libae에서 라틴어로 표기된 카파 Libae는 Libra 별자리 별자리 바이엘의 이름이다.겉으로 보이는 시력은 4.72이므로 육안으로 볼 수 있다.[2]연간 시차 이동은 10.57마스로 약 310광년 떨어져 있음을 나타낸다.[1]황반에서 남쪽으로 0.02도 떨어져 있다.

별은 적절한 운동으로 가속도 성분을 보여주며, 이는 그것이 천체 이항일 가능성이 높다는 것을 나타낸다.[9]가시성 성분은 K5 III의 별 분류를 가진 진화된 K형 거성이다.[3]밝기가 4.70~4.75인 것으로 의심되는 변수별이다.[10]측정된 각 직경은 3.71±0.10 mas로,[11] 카파 천칭자리 추정 거리에서 태양의 약 38배의 물리적 크기를 산출한다.[6]유효 온도 3,930K로 외부 대기에서 태양 광도의 296배를 방출한다.[7]
