Nicephellus는 나비과에 속하는 신열대나비의 단형속으로,[1] 포키디니족에 속한다.
이 속의 유일한 종은 두 개의 반점이 있는 [2]주홍눈이라고도 불리는 니케펠루스 나이스포러스이며, 1876년 윌리엄 채프먼 휴이슨이 에우다무스 나이스포러스라고 [3]처음 기술했습니다.멕시코 남부에서 페루, 브라질 [3]서부까지 발견된다.
날개 폭은 28~30mm이다.날개는 짙은 갈색이며, 양쪽 날개에 붉은 갈색의 비늘이 덮여 있으며, 뒷날개에는 희미한 창백한 원반 모양의 반점이 있다(때로는 앞날개까지 확장되기도 한다).
