Perispectes는 암모나이트 세팔로포드의 멸종된 속이다. 그들은 중후기 쥐라기 시대에 살았고 그 기간 동안 색인 화석의 역할을 했다.[5] P. Boweni 종은 영국의 화학자 겸 지질학자 E. J. Bowen (1898–1980)의 이름을 따서 명명되었다.[6]
분배
이 속에 속하는 종의 껍질은 남극, 아르헨티나, 칠레, 쿠바, 이집트, 에티오피아, 프랑스, 독일, 헝가리, 인도, 이란, 이탈리아, 일본, 마다가스카르, 폴란드, 포르투갈, 러시아, 사우디아라비아, 스페인, 스위스, 영국, 예멘에서 발견되었다.[3]
