Oracle Communications Messaging Server는 Oracle의 메시징(이메일) 서버 소프트웨어 입니다.이 소프트웨어는 오라클이 2010년 쑨양 인수의 일환으로 확보한 것이다.

Oracle의 Messaging Server는 잠재적으로 전 세계적으로 1억 5천만 개의 사서함(대부분 ISP, 통신사, 대학, 정부 및 케이블 TV 광대역통신사)이 구축되어 있는 상업용 전자 메일 서버가 될 수 있다.[1]

Oracle Communications Messaging Server는 오랜 역사를 가지고 있으며

이 소프트웨어는 메시징 서버의 세 부모 외에도 다음과 같은 여러 가지 브랜드 이름 변경을 거쳤다.

메시징 서버는 2003년부터 2006년까지 인터넷/인트라넷 서버 소프트웨어의 Sun의 Java Enterprise System 번들의 일부였다.2006년, 메시징 서버는 Sun Java System Communications Suite라고 불리는 더 작은 번들의 일부로 패키지화되었는데, 여기에는 Sun Java System Communications Server, Sun Java System Instant Messaging Server, Sun Java System Communications Express 등이 포함된다.이 제품군은 현재 Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite로 알려져 있다.
