2019년 시카고 선거는 2019년 2월 26일과 2019년 4월 2일 두 차례에 걸쳐 치러졌다.선거는 시카고 시장, 시카고서기, 시카고 시 재무관, 시카고 시의회 의원 50명 전원에게 실시되었다.이번 선거에서 승리한 후보들은 2019년 5월 20일 취임했다.[5]4개의 투표소 투표도 특정 선거구에서 투표로 이루어졌다.그 선거는 시카고 선거 위원회에 의해 관리되었다.[6][7]

현직 시장인 람 에마누엘은 2018년 9월 4일 재선에 출마하지 않겠다고 선언해 기존에 출마했던 출마 선언을 뒤집었다.[8]2019년 2월 26일 1차 투표에서 14명의 후보가 투표장에 나타났다.득표율 50%를 얻은 후보가 없어 상위 2명의 득표자가 결선투표에 진출했다.이들 후보는 로리 라이트풋시카고 경찰서장토니 프레크윙클 카운티 이사회 의장이었다.2019년 4월 2일 총선에서 라이트풋은 73.7%의 득표율로 프레크윙클을 누르고 승리했다.

시카고 시의회에 대표되는 50개 구청 중 재선에 출마한 현직 고참은 45명으로 이 중 38명이 재선에 성공했다.[151]2019년 2월 26일 1차 선거에서는 현역 의원들을 물리친 3명을 포함해 4명이 새로 당선됐다.14개 구청의 선거는 4월 2일 8명의 신참들이 선출된 결선투표에 진출했다.총 12명의 새로운 신참들이 선출되었다.

1라운드

선거 1차 투표율은 35.45%.[1][2]투표율이 낮은 것은 2018학년도 중간고사부터 청년층 투표율이 떨어진 데 따른 것으로 풀이된다.[153][154][155]

선거 당일, 2007년 시카고 선거를 시장 선거의 해 중 시카고 역사상 가장 낮은 지방 선거의 기록적인 세터로 대체할 만큼 투표율이 저조할 것이라는 우려가 있었다.[156][157]

35.45%의 투표율은 2015년 1차 투표 때보다 높았지만 2015년 결선 투표보다는 낮았다.[158][159]2011년 열린 시장 선거로 전년보다 투표율이 낮았다.[160][161]

2007년 종전 최저인 35세 미만 투표율보다 35세 미만 투표율이 낮아 밀레니얼 연령대 중 투표율이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다.[162]
