teleosaurid crocodyliform 파충류의 독일과 프랑스의 처음에 크로커딜러스의 한 종류로 1814년에로 명명된 후기 쥐라기(티톤세)에서 Aeolodon는 멸종된 유인원 속이다.[1]비록 이전에 Steneosaurus과 synonymized, 최근의 분지 분석은 그것 먼 친척 Steneosaurus형 종과 관련된을 고려하고 있다.[2][3]
Aeolodon priscus의 holotype은 Mörnsheim 형성 Daiting, 독일 바이에른, 할당된 시편은 Canjuers 보존 Lagerstätte 바르, 프랑스에서 발견된 Geosaurusgiganteus holotype[4]을 배출해 낸 같은 채석장에서 발견되었다.[5]
