이 종은 1806년 프랑스 박물학자 자크 라빌라르디에르가 노바에 올랑디아 식물 표본에서 공식적으로 기술했습니다.그는 레스티오 [2]테트라피엘루스라는 이름을 붙였다.Lawrie Johnson과 Barbara Briggs는 [3]1998년에 그것을 Baloskion속으로 분류했다.
