CDS(Center for Development and Strategy, CDS)는 미국 뉴욕주 버팔로에 본사를 둔 환경경제적 미국의 싱크탱크 및 온라인 출판사다. 이 센터는 지속가능성, 발전, 국가 안보에 관한 이슈를 중심으로 전 세계의 정치, 경제, 환경 문제에 관한 정책 연구, 리스크 브리핑, 오피드를 개발한다.[3]

역사

2014년 CDS는 경제발전에 초점을 맞춘 '학생활용' 싱크탱크로 설립됐다.[4] 그 당시, 그것은 세계에서 두 번째로 주요한 국제 학생 운영 연구소였다.[5] 2015년 CDS는 버팔로 경영대학원의 딜 엑스포에서 750달러의 포상금과 함께 대학 최고응용 경험 부문 1등상을 받았다.[6] 이후 CDS는 정부, 기업, 비영리단체에 학계 및 젊은 전문직 종사자를 참여시킬 정도로 확대됐다.[7]

CDS는 지속가능성 연구, 사상, 조직을 개발하는 3개의 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 싱크탱크의 주요 프로그램인 씽크 퍼블리셔는 대학원생, 학계, 전문가들이 작성한 보고서를 발간한다. CDS의 Think Together 프로그램은 의견 기사를 게재하는 뉴스형 블로그다.[8] 이 싱크탱크는 또한 Think Cubtiving이라는 가상 비즈니스 인큐베이터를 운영하고 있으며 펜실베이니아 대학교의 Global Impact Collaborative 그룹을 포함한 수많은 비영리 기관의 설립을 도왔다.[9]
