월경 주기 및 배란 연구 센터(CeMCOR)는 밴쿠버에 있는 건강 연구 센터다.브리티시 컬럼비아 대학에 따르면, CeMCOR는 배란과 배란 장애의 원인과 결과에 초점을 맞춘 세계에서 유일한 중심지라고 한다.[1]CeMCOR는 갱년기 핫 플러시를 위한 프로게스테론 전용 치료법 연구,[2][3] 갱년기와 구별되는 페리모포스에 대한 연구,[4] 여성의 관점과 자기지식에 초점을 맞춘 연구로 알려져 있다.[5]

역사

더 센터는 2002년 5월 제릴린 프리어[2] 박사가 브리티시 컬럼비아 대학 부속 자선단체로 설립했다.명시된 비전은 "여성 중심의 맥락에서 월경 주기 및 배란기에 대한 과학적 지식을 재정립하는 [6]것"이었다.

CeMCOR는 현재 고든과 레슬리 다이아몬드 건강관리 센터에 있는 밴쿠버 종합병원에[2] 위치해 있다.[7]직원은 15명의 임상의와 9명의 교육생을 포함한다.그것은 내분비학자, 역학학자, 산부인과 의사, 영양학자, 심리학자, 사회학자로 구성된 지역사회 자문회의와 과학자문회의의 안내를 받는다.[7][5]

리서치

CeMCOR는 첫 10년 동안 50개 이상의 과학 논문과 4권의 책을 출판했다.[7]연구 분야로는 월경 및 배란, 뼈 건강, 폐경 전 유방암, 다낭성 난소증후군(PCOS), 페리메노포즈 등이 있다.[8]CeMCOR는 배란과 함께 규칙적인 월경 주기가 골다공증, 유방암, 심장 질환을 예방하는 데 도움이 된다는 연구 결과를 전반적으로 보여준다고 밝혔다.[6]프리어 박사는 생리 주기를 "활력징후"[9]라고 불렀다.

CeMCOR는 제약산업이 후원하는 연구를 하지 않는다.[6]
