클랜키(Irish: Clann Chaoich[1])는 아일랜드 공화국 카반 카운티에 있는 바론이다.조랑말은 행정 단위보다는 주로 지적 단위였다.그들은 지방정부법 1898에 의해 대체되기 전에 19세기에 지방세 및 지출기능을 취득했다.[2][3][4]

어원

바론 이름은 "외눈의 클란(가족)"이라는 뜻이며, 까치("한눈의 맹인")는 현지 우아 라할라이(오레일리) 치프테인 니알 오레일리의 별명으로, 카탈 나 베이티의 아들, 아나드 오 라할라(Anadh OO Raghalla)의 아들이다.[5][6][7]

바론은 또한 클란 차오이치 안 프헤다(길이의 클랑키), 클란 차오이치 우아흐타라크("우퍼 클랜키") 또는 클란 차오이치 나 선클레인(옛 가문의 클랑키)이라는 이름으로 기록되어 있다.[1]

지리

클랜키는 카반 카운티에서 가장 동쪽에 있는 지역으로 대부분 숲, 드럼린, 호수, 늪지 등이 있으며 모나한 카운티와 메트 카운티에 접해 있다.[8]

역사

클랜키는 이전에 가일렝가 모라의 영토의 일부였다.맥툴리스, 맥가건스, 오클러리스, 오코일스는 이 지역의 강력한 가족이었다.[9]1471년 클랜키에서 오렐리와 오렐의 전투가 벌어져 오렐리 사령관이 살해되고 오렐 서장이 포로로 잡혔다.[8]

클랜키 농장은 1609년에 울스터 농원에서 만들어졌으며, 클론키라는 철자가 대서특필되었다.[10][11][12][13]
