가족 Oestocephalidae 내에 aïstopod tetrapodomorphs의 Coloraderpeton는 멸종된 유인원 속이다.[1][2] Coloraderpeton 석탄기 상그레 드 크리스토 형성의 온상 콜로라도는 척추, 갈비, 비늘은 UCLA필드 원정에서 1966년 회복으로부터 알려졌기 것으로 알려져 있다. 피터는 폴 반입니다. 이러한 1969년에 묘사했다.[1] 한 두개골 후에 미발표된 1983년 논문에서, 제이슨 S. 가 설명한 보도되었다앤더슨 2003년.[2]
