게리 R. 락은 영국의 고고학자 겸 옥스퍼드 대학교 고고학 대학의 명예 교수다.[1]

존 로이드와 함께 1994년 상로밸리 프로젝트를 시작했다.[2][3] 그는 영국과 아일랜드의 '힐포트 아틀라스'로 출판된 영국 섬들에 선사시대 힐포트들의 종합 데이터베이스를 만드는 프로젝트의 수석 조사관이었다.[4]

록은 1993년부터 켈로그 칼리지의 동료로, 1997년부터 1998년까지 통치 기구의 비서로, 2010년에는 학부장을 역임했다.[5] 그는 이전에 국제고고고학(CAA)에서 컴퓨터 응용 및 정량적 응용 프로그램의 회장을 역임했다.[6]
