제이콥 레인 벤틀리(1997년 11월 23일 출생)는 현재 사우스 앨라배마 재규어스에서 뛰고 있는 미식축구 쿼터백이다.그는 이전에 사우스 캐롤라이나 게임콕스와 유타 우츠에서 뛰었다.[1]

벤틀리는 2018년 게임콕스에서 첫 4경기를 시작해 터치다운 7개, 인터셉트 6개로 2-2의 기록을 세웠다.[10]2018년 10월 6일, 벤틀리는 켄터키와의 경기에서 전 주 패배로 무릎이 삐는 부상을 당해 1학년 이후 첫 출발을 놓쳤다.[11]시니어 마이클 스카르네키아(미국)는 미주리(미국)에 37-35로 게임콕스(미국)를 리드하며 제 자리를 시작했다.벤틀리의 룸메이트 파커 화이트가 2초를 남기고 경기 우승의 필드골을 걷어찼다.[12]

2018년 11월 24일 벤틀리는 데스밸리에서 56-35로 패한 뒤 510야드를 던져 무패, 2위, 궁극적으로는 내셔널챔피언 클렘슨에게 1경기 패스 기록을 세웠다.[13]

2019

벤틀리는 2019시즌 선발 쿼터백으로 이름을 올렸지만 시즌 첫 경기인 노스캐롤라이나와의 2019 벨크 킥오프전에서 발 부상을 당했다.그 결과 그는 벤치로 물러났고 신입생 쿼터백 라이언 힐린스키가 선발 쿼터백으로 지명되었다.[14]2019년 9월 8일, 벤틀리가 발에 시즌 종료 수술을 받을 것이라는 소식이 전해졌다.[15]2019시즌이 끝나갈 무렵 벤틀리는 마지막 1년간의 자격을 얻기 위해 학교를 전학할 것이라고 발표했다.[16]12월 9일, 벤틀리는 2020시즌을 위해 유타 대학교로 편입할 것이라고 발표했다.[1]

당초 벤틀리는 텍사스 이적 캐머런 라이징의 뒤를 이어 2020시즌 백업 쿼터백으로 발표됐으나 USC와의 시즌 개막전에서 라이징이 부상으로 빠진 뒤 남은 경기 선발로 벤틀리가 지명됐다.벤틀리는 유테스와의 경기에서 62%의 패스를 완성했다.

벤틀리가 2쿼터에 인터셉트를 던지고 워크온 드루 리스크에게 유리한 벤치를 잡은 워싱턴 주와의 시즌 피날레에 이어 대학생활에서 두 번째로 벤틀리가 NCAA 이적포털에 진출했다.[17]

2021년 1월 7일, 벤틀리는 사우스 앨라배마 대학에서 마지막 시즌을 치를 것이라고 발표했다.[18]

사생활
