카우가치는 인도 서벵골 주의 북 24 파르가나스 구역에[1] 있는 바라크포어 I CD 블록에 있는 인구 조사 마을이다. Kolkata Urban Aggomeration의 한 부분이다.

위치
가르쉬암나가르, 노아파라, 카우가치, 팔타파라는 가르룰리아와 북바라크푸르 동쪽의 도시 클러스터를 형성한다. Ichhapur Defense Estate는 North Barackpur의 서쪽에 있다.[2]

인구
2011년 인도 인구조사 기준 카우가치 인구는 총 1만7,001명으로 이 중 남자 8612명(51%), 여자 8389명(49%)이 여자였다. 6년 미만 인구는 1,379명이었다. 카우가치의 전체 문학인구는 1만3833명(6년 이상 인구의 88.55%)이었다.[7]
2001년[update] 인도 인구조사를 기준으로 카우가치 인구는 13,904명이다.[8] 남성은 인구의 51%, 여성은 49%를 차지한다. 가우가치는 전국 평균 문해율이 72%로 전국 평균 59.5%보다 높다.남자는 76%, 여성은 67%이다. 카우가치에서는 인구의 10%가 6세 미만이다.

가장 가까운 역은 셀다-라나그하트 선의 샤얌나가르 역과 이하푸르 역이다.[12][11]

파르가나스 북 24지구는 지하수가 비소 오염의 영향을 받는 지역 중 하나로 파악됐다.[13]
