쿠드누는 호주초기 트라이아스기 아카디아 지층에서 멸종된 네오디압류 파충류 속입니다.[1] 종류는 K. mackinlayi입니다.[2]

검색 및 이름 지정

완모식표본은 QM F9181로, 두개의 앞쪽 부분으로, 관절이 있는 틀니 라미가 있으며, 퀸즐랜드(Queensland) 롤스톤(Rolleston) 남서쪽의 크레이터(Crater)에서 발견되었습니다.[3] 참조되는 두개골 QM F9182도 알려져 있습니다.[4] Kudnu mackinlayi는 1979년 Alan Bartholomai에 의해 이름 지어지고 묘사되었습니다.[2]

분류

쿠드누는 1979년 바르톨로마이(Bartholomai)에 의해 처음에 팔리구아나과로 분류되었습니다. 벤튼(1985)은 쿠드누를 레피도사우로모르파속(Lepidosauromorpha)으로 [5]분류했고, 에반스(2003)는 쿠드누를 프로라세르티폼목(Proacertiformes)으로 분류했으며,[6] 에반스 & 존스(2010)는 후에 쿠드누프로콜로폰과(Procolophonidae)로 분류했습니다.[7] 포로파트(Poropat) 등(2023)과 같은 보다 최근의 저자들은 쿠드누네오디압시다의 기초적인 구성원으로 간주합니다.[4]

고생물학

쿠드누가 살던 세계최근의 페름기-트라이아스 멸종 사건으로부터 여전히 회복되고 있었고, 그 결과 초기 트라이아스기의 대부분 동안 지구 생물 다양성은 낮게 유지되었습니다.[8] 이 시기의 세계는 대체로 덥고 건조한 환경이었고, 때로는 50°C, 심지어는 60°C의 온도에 이르렀습니다.[9]

현재 쿠드누와 함께 살았던 아카디아 지층에서 지금까지 다양한 동물군이 기록되었습니다. 여기에는 14개 속을 포함한 다양성이 높은 양서류가 포함됩니다.[10] 14개 속, 초식공룡 Kalisuchus rewanensis,[11] 초식공룡 Kadimakara australiensis,[12] 프로콜로폰류 Eumurrana yurgensis[13], 그리고 불확실한 Dicynodont.[14]
