사우스랜드의 시장

Mayor of Southland District

사우스랜드 시장은 뉴질랜드 사우스랜드 지구의 자치정부 수반이다.시장은 제1선거제를 이용하여 직접 선출된다.현 시장은 2013년 지방선거 이후 게리 통 시장이었다.[1]

역사

사우스랜드 구는 1989년 지방 정부 합병의 일환으로 설립되었다.[2]프라나 카드노는 1989년 참의원 자격으로 사우스랜드 구에 입성했다가 1992년 시장으로 선출됐다.[3]그해 지방선거에 앞서 2013년 10월 이 역할에서 물러났고,[3] 뉴질랜드 역대 최장수 여성시장이었다.[4]
