평화의 전령 프로그램(MoP)은 세계 스카우트 운동의 세계 기구가 주도하고 있으며, 세계 스카우트상 및 세계 스카우트 환경 프로그램과 함께 더 나은 세계 기본 프로그램을 구성한다.[1][2][3][4]스카우트는 2011년부터 세계를 좀 더 평화로운 곳으로 만들기 위해 다양한 규모의 프로젝트에 전념했고, 그들의 시간을 평화의 메신저 글로벌 네트워크 사이트에 기록하였다.[2][5][6][7]프로젝트는 세 가지 범주로 나뉜다.개인, 커뮤니티, 환경.[8]

세계를 위한 나무들

'세상을 위한 나무들'은 전 세계 스카우트들을 위한 국제 스카우트 평화의 전령 프로젝트로서, 각 스카우트가 지구의 날 이후 토요일에 나무를 심을 예정이다.[13]

'세상을 위한 나무들'의 아이디어는 아르헨티나, 캐나다, 쿠라사오, 에콰도르, 온두라스, 파나마, 세인트루시아, 세인트빈센트, 그레나딘 등의 대표단과 함께 제1차 북미간 리더십 훈련 기간 동안 시작되었다.합의 끝에 세계의 스카우트들이 참여하는 장기 프로젝트를 만들어 평화 문화를 확산하는 동시에 그들의 지역사회에 영향을 미치게 되었다.[14]2014년 9월 '세상을 위한 나무들'은 평화의 영웅상을 받았다.[15]

2014년 2월 설립된 세계조직위원회(TFTWOC)(스페인어: Comité Organitador de Arboles Para El Mundo, COAPEM)는 프로젝트 조직과 홍보에 관여하는 스카우트 그룹이다.현재 10개국에서 12명의 TFTWOC 회원이 활동하고 있다.

2014년을 위한 나무들은 2014년 4월 26일부터 9월 27일까지 문을 열었다.24개국 스카우트 1만4645명이 총 5만7161그루의 나무를 심었다.[16][17][18][19][20][21]
