무장좌파는 아일랜드 공화국과 북아일랜드에서 모두 활동 중인 트로츠키주의 정당이다. 분열된 후, 2019년, 국제노동위원회(1974년)에서, 이 단체는 '퇴직된' 국제노동자 위원회(2019년)에 가입하기를 원하는 사회당 출신들에 의해 설립되었다. 처음에 CWI 아일랜드로 알려졌던 이 도시는 2020년에 '전투적인 좌파'로 이름을 바꾸었다.[1]

이 단체는 페르마나 구와 오마흐 구 의회에 도날 오코파이 공공 대표를 한 명 두고 있다.[2] 오코파이는 이전에 페르마나흐에서 신페인 참의원이었다가 2009년 사회당에 입당하기 위해 사임했다.[3] 2009년부터 2019년까지 사회당 당원으로 활동하면서 노동당(LPNI)과 그 후 '사회 간 노동 대안(Cross-Community Laborative Alternative)'의 당원으로 활동하기도 했다.[4][5][6] 그는 2019년 북아일랜드 지방선거에서 사회당원(Community Labority Alternative)이라는 이름으로 출마해 페르마나흐와 오마흐 구의회에 선출됐으나 그해 말 CWI 아일랜드 입당을 위해 떠났다.[6][7][8][9]

2021년 2월 현재 북아일랜드나 아일랜드 공화국의 정당 등록대상에 '무장좌파'가 포함되지 않았다.[10][11]
