모달 필터

모달 필터(modal filter)는 포인트 클로저(point closure)라고도 하며,[1] 특정 유형의 차량의 통행을 제한하는 도로 설계다. 모달 필터링은 종종 낮은 교통 이웃 지역(LTN)을 만드는데 사용되는데, 그 곳에서 모터 교통은 주거용 도로에서[2][3] 벗어나 대신 공급용 도로로 우회된다. 모달 필터는 교통망 내에서 여과된 투과성을 달성하는 데 사용될 수 있으며,[4][5][6] 보다 쾌적한 환경과 향상된 안전성을 통해 걷기와 자전거 타기를 장려할 수 있다.[7]

모달 필터는 볼라드, 붐 장벽, 플랜터 등의 장벽 사용을 통해 구현될 수 있지만, 자동 번호판 인식 카메라와 도로 표지판을 통해 가상으로 구현될 수 있어 모터 통행을 금지하면서 가정용 모터 접근이 가능하다.[4]
