역사

유니코드 문자 집합은 2011년 5월에 처음 제안되었다.[3] 첫 번째 SMP에 대한 이전의 잠정적 매핑에도 대본이[4] 포함되었고 이후 버전에는 제안서가 포함된다.[5] 6.0.12부터 "Newar"라는 명칭을 사용한 개정 제안이[6] 로드맵에 반영된다.[7] 이 수정된 제안은 "올드 뉴어 원고의 역사적 형식에서부터 '네팔 리피'로 알려진 '프라찰리트'의 현재 스타일에 이르기까지 뉴어 원고를 가장 폭넓게 표현할 수 있도록 하기 위한 것"[6]이었다. 대안 제안은 언어학자 테즈 라트나 칸사카르(Tej Ratna Kansakar)의 지원을 받은 카트만두의 뉴어즈(Newars) 집단에 의해 만들어졌는데, 판디(Pandey) 제안과는 여러 가지 면에서 차이가 있는데, 가장 중요한 것은 역사적으로 cc라는 그래핀으로 쓰여진 숨쉬는 자음(nalized)을 다수 포함했다는 것이다.결막으로 오인되다가 잘못 쓴 것이다.[8]
