오픈 소스 소프트웨어 연구소는 미국 연방, 주 및 시 정부 기관 내에서 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 솔루션의 개발 및 구현을 촉진하는 임무를 수행하는 미국 501(c)(6) 비영리 단체다. OSSI는 2015년 설립돼 미국 국방부 및 국토안보부 내 오픈소스 채택 촉진을 위한 전략적 이니셔티브에 주력해왔다.
