Research Consortium On Nearby Stars

REESearch Consortium on Nearly Stars (RECONS)는 태양계에서 가장 가까운 별들을 조사하기 위해 1994년에 설립된 국제 천문학자 그룹이다. 10파섹 이내(32.6광년)에 초점을 맞추고 있지만 2012년 현재 수평선은 25파섹으로 늘어났다.부분적으로 이 프로젝트는 국내 항성계에 대한 보다 정확한 조사가 은하계 전체의 항성계에 대한 더 나은 그림을 제공하기를 바라고 있다.null

주목할 만한 발견

이 컨소시엄은 1994년에 시작된 The Solar Neighborhood의 시리즈인 The Solar Neighborhood의 저작권을 주장하고 있다.[1]이 시리즈는 현재 거의 40편의 논문과 출품작을 기록하고 있다.이 시리즈에서 다음과 같은 발견이 있다.

  • GJ 1061은 11.9광년의 거리에서 20번째로 가장 가까운 항성계통으로 밝혀졌다.[2]
  • DENIS 0255-4700에 대한 최초의 정확한 거리 측정. 16.2광년의 거리에서 태양계에 가장 가까운 것으로 알려진 등급 L 갈색 왜성 물체다.[3]
  • 태양계 10파섹 이내에서 이전에 알려지지 않았던 항성계 20개 발견.이것들은 2000년에서 2005년 사이에 발표된 8개의 새로운 항성계통 외에 추가로 발표된다.[4]
