RideLondon Classique는 UCI Women's World Tour를 위해 에식스와 런던에서 개최되는 여성 사이클 스테이지 레이스입니다.Ride London 사이클 축제의 일부인 이 레이스는 원래 런던 중심부에서 하루 동안 레이스로 개최되었고 런던-서리 클래식이 끝난 후 2022년에 스테이지 레이스가 되었다.
역사
2013년에 처음 개최된 RideLondon 축제는 2012 런던 올림픽과 패럴림픽 게임의 연례 유산으로 고안되었습니다.이 형식은 아마추어 사이클리스트와 [1]프로페셔널을 위한 폐쇄된 도로에서의 일련의 사이클 이벤트로 구성되어 있다.프로 남자 대회인 런던-서리 클래식은 2013년부터 2019년까지 서리 힐스를 이용한 코스에서 열렸다.
축제의 일환으로, 프로 여성 이벤트(원래는 RideLondon Grand Prix)가 런던 중심 서킷에서 열렸고, 결승점은 The Mall이었다.2016년 UCI Women's World Tour에 추가되어 RideLondon Classique로 이름이 변경되었으며, 런던-서리 클래식과 동일한 10만 유로의 상금을 획득하여 여자 [2]달력에서 가장 부유한 하루 레이스가 되었다.런던 중심부의 평평하고 짧은 서킷으로 인해, 레이스는 종종 [3][4]더 몰에서 단거리 결승전에 도달했다.2020년과 2021년 대회는 모두 COVID-19 [5]대유행으로 인해 취소되었다.
타이틀 스폰서인 푸르덴셜과 서리 카운티의회가 [6][7]탈퇴한 후, 라이드 런던은 2022년부터 런던 중심부에서 3일간의 엘리트 여성 레이스를 새로운 [8]메인 이벤트로 하는 하루 이벤트가 될 것이라고 발표되었습니다.2021년 3월 런던 마라톤 이벤트와 10년 간의 파트너십이 [9]체결되고 2021년 11월 에식스 카운티 의회와의 합의가 발표되었습니다.[10][11]2022년 2월, 에식스에서 2 스테이지와 런던 [12]중심부에서 최종 서킷 스테이지가 있는 3일간의 이벤트의 전 루트가 공개되었습니다.
2022년 대회는 UCI 여성 월드[13] 투어에 포함되기 위해 필요한 세 스테이지 모두에 대해 생방송 TV를 제공하지 않는다는 비판을 받았다. UCI는 2023년 대회가 생방송 [14]TV로 방송되지 않으면 UCI 프로 시리즈로 강등될 것이라고 경고했다.
