로버트 스콧 샌즈(Robert Scott Sands, 1958년/59년 출생)는 미국의 억만장자 사업가로, 아버지 마빈 샌즈가 설립한 포춘지 500대 맥주, 와인, 양주 회사인 Constellation Brands의 경영자 겸 전 CEO이다.

초년기

로버트 스콧 샌즈는 마빈 샌즈의 아들로 형인 리차드 샌즈가 있다.[2]

뉴욕 주 카난다이구아에서 자랐으며, 뉴욕 주 로체스터의 더 할리 스쿨에서 교육을 받았으며 1976년에 졸업했다.[3]Sands는 Skidmore College에서 철학 학사 학위를 취득했고, Pace University에서 법학 박사 학위를 취득했다.[1][4][5]

경력

마빈 샌즈는 1945년 21세의 나이로 카난다이구아 와인 회사를 설립했다.[6]1980년까지 연간 매출액이 5000만 달러를 넘었고, 2000년 Constellation Brands로 개칭했으며, 로버트 몬다비 와인, 스베드카 보드카 등 수많은 회사를 인수했다.[6]2013년에는 모델오와 코로나 등 그루포 모델오 맥주에 대한 미국 판권을 취득했다.[6]

샌즈는 뉴욕 로체스터의 하터 세크레스트 & 에메리 LLP 로펌에서 경력을 시작해 2년 동안 그곳에서 일하다가 1986년 일반 고문 자격으로 가업에 합류했다.[5]
