로스 L. 프렌티스(Ross L. Fatrentice, 1946년 10월 16일 출생)[1]는 특히 역학의 생존 분석과 통계적 방법에 기여한 것으로 유명한 캐나다의 통계학자다.[2] 1974년 프레드 허친슨 암 연구소에서 근무한 적이 있으며 워싱턴대학교 공중보건대학 생물통계학 교수도 맡고 있다.[3]

프렌티스는 1967년 졸업한 워털루 대학에서 수학을 공부한 뒤 토론토 대학에서 통계학에서 MSc와 박사학위를 취득했다. 1974년 프레드 허친슨 암 연구소로 옮기기 전 워털루 대학에서 강의했다.[3]

프렌티스는 1986년에 사례 코호트 설계를 제안했다.[2][4] 1989년에 발표된 그가 가장 많이 인용한 통계 논문은 대리 종말점의 유효한 사용에 대한 기준과 관련이 있다.[2][5] 그는 1993년 여성 건강 이니셔티브의 임상 조정 센터의 리더 중 한 명이었다.[2][3]

1986년에는[6] COPSS 사장상을, R.A.를 받았다. 2008년 Fisher 강의십에서 인용문에는 다음과 같이 적혀 있었다.[7]
