특수 엔지니어 분리
Special Engineer Detachment특수기사 파견대(SED)는 기계 가공 등 기술력을 갖춘 사병이나 고등학교를 넘어 일부 과학교육을 받은 사병들을 파악한 미 육군 프로그램이었다. 확인된 이들은 특수 엔지니어 분리대(SED)로 조직되었다. SED 인력은 1943년 10월에 로스 알라모스에 도착하기 시작했다. 1945년 8월까지 1800명의 SED 인력은 로스 알라모스에서 일했다.[1] 이들 부대는 삼위일체시험을 비롯한 실험실의 모든 영역과 활동에서 근무했으며, 티니안에 대한 해외 작전에 관여했다.
