스테파노체레우스는 브라질에서 온 선인장의 속으로서 아로자도아와 관련이 있다.이 속은 Philosocereus luetzelburgii가 여기에 포함되기 전까지는 단성형이었다. 그 결과 Stephanocereus luetzelburgii가 결합되었다.[1][2][3]
