Strongly interacting massive particle강하게 상호작용하는 거대한 입자(SIMPs)는 자기들끼리 강하게, 그리고 보통 물질과 약하게 상호작용하는 가상의 입자지만, 그럼에도 불구하고 추론된 암흑 물질을 형성할 수 있다.[1][2][3]
강력 상호작용하는 거대한 입자들이 초고 에너지 우주선 문제와[4][5] 은하단 내 냉각 흐름의 부재를 위한 해결책으로 제안되어 왔다.[6][7]
