TY Pixidis는 Pixis 별자리에 있는 생략형 이진 별이다.겉보기 크기는 3.2일에 걸쳐 6.85에서 7.5까지이다.[3]
두 구성 요소는 모두 스펙트럼 타입 G5IV로,[4] 태양 질량이 1.2이며 3.2일에 한 번씩 서로 회전한다.[5]각각의 별은 태양의 약 2.2배 지름이다.[4]
이 시스템은 RS Canum Venaticorum 변수와[3] BY Draconis 변수로 분류되며, 두드러진 항성 활동에 따라 달라지며,[4] 184 ± 5광년 떨어져 있다.[2]이 시스템은 X선을 방출하고, 시간이 지남에 따라 방출 곡선을 분석함으로써 프레스와 동료들은 두 별 사이에 물질 아크의 고리가 존재한다는 결론을 내렸다.[6]
