The Ministry and the Past

Das Amt und die Vergangenheit: 독일 외무부가 발표한 880쪽 분량의 보고서로 독일 외무부는 2010년 10월 28일 카를 블레싱 베를라크가 발간했다. 그 보고서는 외무부가 홀로코스트에 깊이 관여했음을 입증한다.[1]

역사

이 보고서는 2005년[2] 조슈카 피셔 전 외무장관이 의뢰해 귀도 웨스터웰 독일 외무장관을 위해 준비했다. 이 보고서의 결과는 미래의 독일 외교관을 위한 훈련으로 통합될 예정이었다.

이 보고서는 웨스터웰에[3] 전달되기 전에 판매되고 있으며 일부 거래소에서 34,95 유로에 판매되고 있다.[4] 2012년 3월 현재 이 보고서는 75,000부 이상 팔렸으며, 이러한 전문적 틈새를 차지하고 있는 역사책으로는 이례적으로 많은 수가 팔렸다.[5] 타임지의 베를린 특파원 등 일각에서는 독일 정부가 이 보고서를 발표하는 데 65년이 걸린 이유에 대해 의문을 제기해 '최종 해결책'[6]에 외교관의 역할이 광범위하게 은폐됐음을 시사했다.
