16volt는 에릭 파웰과 함께 라이브 쇼에 추가된 다른 공연자들을 출연시키는 미국의 산업 록 밴드다.[1][2][3]
역사
16볼트는 오리건주 포틀랜드에서 작곡가 겸 보컬 에릭 파웰에 의해 결성되었다.파월은 음악가 드러머 조엘 본진, 기타리스트 존 펠, 제프 테일러를 영입해 '모터스킬스'를 녹음했다. 이 곡은 '사이버플레시 음모'에서 데뷔한 이프 잇 [4]무브스의 다양한 아티스트 컴파일에 데뷔했다.그 밴드는 Re-Constraction Records에 계약한 후 1993년 5월 25일 첫 정규 스튜디오 앨범 Wise를 발매했다.[5]이 앨범은 업계에 정통한 비트와 연마성 전자 텍스쳐로 비판적인 관심을 받았다.[6]이 밴드는 다음 세 앨범에 대해 Re-Constraction을 통해 앨범을 계속 발매했다.스킨(1994), LetDownCrush(1996), SuperCoolNothing(1998).
이 밴드는 비디오 게임 프리말의 오프닝 장면에 등장하며, 게임의 사운드 트랙에 9곡을 기여했다.[7][8][9]
16volt는 2007년 Metropolit Records를 위해 5집 앨범 FullBlackHabit을 발매했다.[10]이어 2009년과 2011년 각각 발매된 [12]메트로폴리스의 스튜디오 앨범 2장과 아메리칸 포르노 송즈[11], 비팅 데드 호스(Beating Dead Hors)[13]를 추가 발매했다. 16볼트는 2016년 앨범 The Negative Space를 자체 발매했다.EP Dead on Deliversity는 2017년 Murder Creek에서 자체 발매되었다.[14][15]
