η 볼란티스에서 라틴어로 표기된 볼란티스 에타는 남쪽 볼란 별자리에 있는 하나의 별입니다.겉보기 등급은 5.28로,[13] 겉보기 등급은 희미하고 흰 빛을 띤 별처럼 맨눈으로 볼 수 있을 정도로 밝습니다.시차 측정에 의하면 태양으로부터 약 387광년 떨어져 있습니다.이 별은 초속 20km의 반지름을 가지고 태양으로부터 더 멀어지고 있습니다.[4]

이 별은 A0/1 IV/V의 항성 분류를 가진 A형 항성으로 [2]주계열성과 준거성의 양상을 보여주는 혼합 스펙트럼을 보여줍니다.조렉과 로이어(2012)의 항성 진화 모델은 주계열성 꺼짐 근처에 배치하여 주계열성에서 90.7%의 시간을 완료했습니다.이[6] 별은 3억 4천 7백만 년 정도 된 것으로 추정되며, 예상 회전수는 214 km/s로 빠르게 회전하고 있습니다.[10]이 별의 질량은[6] 태양의 2.73배, 반지름은 태양의 3.43배입니다.[7]에타 볼란티스는 유효온도 9,789 K의 광구에서 태양의 84배의[8] 광도를 방출하고 있습니다.[9]

에타 볼란티스는 26.8초와 48.1초의 각도로 12등급 광학 동반성 두 개를 가지고 있습니다.[14]
