자이언츠비전은[1] 샌프란시스코 자이언츠가 출연하는 메이저리그 경기의 유료 TV 서비스였다.[2] 자이언츠비전은[3] 4시즌(1986[4]–1989년) 동안 운영되었다.[5] 이에 앞서 구단의 유일한 현지 TV 방송국은 1961년부터 자이언츠 경기를 중계해 온 KTVU였다.
배경
자이언츠비전은 산호세 기반의 베이 에어리어 인터커넥트에 의해 관리되었다. 로버트 하트젤과[6] 마이크 샤피로가 지휘를 맡았다.[7][8] 가입비는 게임당 5.95달러로 시작했으며 45게임짜리 패키지는 154달러에 구입할 수 있다. 자이언츠비전은 1988년 시즌 첫 두 달 동안 경기당 평균 2만2000명의 시청률을 기록했다.[9]
