해리스 증류소는 스코틀랜드 해리스 섬의 타베르트에 있는 스카치 위스키와 진 증류소다.[1]그 증류소는 해리스에 세워진 최초의 합법적인 증류소였다.[1][2][3]

역사

증류소 계획은 2011년 지방의회 콤하렐레 난 에일란 시아르에 제출되면서 시작되었다.[4]스코틀랜드 정부와 하이랜드 및 아일랜드 기업 기금으로부터 총 280만 파운드의 지원으로 2014년 봄 건설이 시작되었다.[1]원래 프로젝트의 총 투자액은 1,000만 파운드로, 나머지 자금은 민간 출처에서 조달했다.[5][6]증류소는 2015년 10월 문을 열고 2015년 12월 17일 생산을 시작했다.[1][7]

상품들

해리스 거주자의 게일어인 The Hearach라고 불리는 맥아 위스키 한 잔과 더불어, 증류소에서는 지방 설탕 다시마 해초를 포함한 식물들을 이용하여 진을 만든다.[1][15][16]2017년 현재, 진 생산을 위해 2톤 이상의 해초가 수집되었다.[3]진의 다른 식물으로는 쥬니퍼, 코리안더, 안젤리카 루트, 카시아 바크가 있다.[7]이 진은 2021년 월드 진 어워드에서 금상을 수상한 독특한 파란색 병에[14] 담겨 판매되고 있다.[7][17]이 진 병들은 스톨젤 유리 그룹에 의해 요크셔에서 제조된다.[9]
