히트로일은 이탈리아의 무기 회사인 오토 멜라라(Oto Melara)가 제조한 원격 무기 스테이션이다(2016년 이후 레오나르도 S.p.A.에 잠입, 이전에 Finmeccanica에 잠입했다.[1] 이름의 "역할" 부분은 "원격 작동, 가벼운 전기"의 줄임말이다.

로소맥 8X8의 히트로 12,7 mm

포탑은 5.56밀리미터(0.219인치), 7.62밀리미터(0.300인치), 12.7밀리미터(0.50인치) 기관총, 40밀리미터(1.6인치) 자동유탄발사기 등 다양한 경량 자동무기를 탑재할 수 있다.[1][2]

레오나르도는 최근 울트라라이트, 이너 재로드, 탑의 12.7mm 구경의 4개 모델과 20mm 구경의 20개 모델로 구성된 라이온피쉬 리모컨 소구경 시스템의 새로운 라인을 선보였다.[3]

그 무기는 자이로스코프 방식으로 안정되어 있다.[4] 포탑의 무게는 장착된 무기에 따라 210kg(460lb)-260kg(570lb)이다. 포병의 원격 광학 장치는 적외선 카메라와 레이저 거리 측정기를 일반 가시광선 카메라에 추가한다.

그 총잡이는 화재 진압 컴퓨터를 보조받는다.[4][5] 소방관제 컴퓨터는 총잡이가 움직이는 목표물을 추적하는 것을 도울 수 있다.

2009년 이탈리아 육군은 81대의 포탑에 아프가니스탄에 이베코 린스 차량을 장착할 것을 명령했다.[5]

제인의 해군 인터내셔널에 따르면 싱가포르 해군은 2013년 8월 히트로레 포탑을 주문했다고 한다.[6] 싱가포르의 8척의 리토랄 미션 선박에는 총 16척의 포탑이 발주되었다.
