λ 하이드레이(Hydrae)는 람다 하이드레이(Lambda Hydrae)로 라틴어화된 항성으로, 히드라 별자리에 있는 분광형 이진성이다[12].겉보기 크기는 3.61 파섹(109 ly) 정도 떨어져 있다.나선 은하 NGC 3145는 남서쪽으로 불과 7.8km 떨어져 있다.

1차는 스펙트럼 타입 K0의 주황색 거성이다.핵심 수소를 다 써버린 별 [13]IIICN+1이 주계열성을 떠나 거성으로 확대됐다.중심부에서 헬륨을 태우는 시원한 수평 지단 별인 붉은 덩어리라는 평가를 받고 있다.[14]

λ 하이드레이는 각각 71㎝, 111㎝ 떨어진 곳에 있는 성분 B와 C, 11·13의 비주얼 동료가 있다.[15]
