모니카 비잔

모니카 비잔(Monica Vișan, 1979년 8월 5일생, 루마니아 드로베타 투르누 세베린)은 미국 로스앤젤레스 캘리포니아 대학교의 루마니아 수학자로, PDE를 전공했으며 비선형 슈뢰딩거 방정식에 대한 연구로 잘 알려져 있다.

교육과 경력

비잔은 2002년 부쿠레슈티 대학에서 학사 학위를 취득했다.^[1]그녀는 로스앤젤레스 캘리포니아 대학교(UCLA)의 테렌스 타오의 학생이 되었고, 그곳에서 2006년에 박사학위를 마쳤다.그녀의 논문은 '5차원 이상에서 에너지 사용의 에너지-중요 비선형 슈뢰딩거 방정식'이었다.^[1][2]

비잔은 고등연구소에서 박사 후 연구를 거쳐 2008년 시카고대 수학학과 조교수가 됐다.2009년 교직원으로 UCLA에 복귀했고, (UCLA에 계속 임용) 2010~2011년 오스틴 텍사스대 해링턴 교수진으로 근무했다.^[1]그녀는 2010년에 슬론 연구 펠로우쉽에서 우승했다.^[3]
