ν 누 페르세이로 라틴어화된 페르세이는 페르세우스 북쪽 별자리의 단일[13] 별자리로 의심받는 변수다.황백색의 빛깔을 띠며 육안으로는 3.80의 겉보기 시각적 크기로 보인다.[2]이 물체는 시차(parallax[1])를 기준으로 태양으로부터 약 560광년 떨어진 곳에 위치하지만 반지름 속도 -12 km/s로 더 가깝게 표류하고 있다.[5]

이 물체는 F5의 별 분류를 가진 고광도 밝은 거성이다.Ⅱ.[3] 태양의 5배[7] 정도의 질량을 가지고 있지만 태양의[8] 반경 21배 정도로 확대되었다.이 별은 48.9km/s의 예상 회전 속도로 회전하는 회전율이 비교적 높다.[10]그것은 6,300 K의 유효 온도에서 확대된 광권으로부터 태양의 604배의[8] 광도를 방출하고 있다.[8]
