일반적으로 OR이라고 약칭되는 운용 요구사항은 미래(즉, 조립되지 않은) 군용기 또는 무기 시스템에 필요한 특성을 기술한 영국(영국) 항공부 문서였다.

번호가 매겨진 OR은 예를 들어 폭격기, 전투기 등과 같은 항공기를 의도한 역할에 사용할 것인지 또는 총기, 무장, 폭탄 유형 등 필요한 무기 유형을 설명할 것이다.

모든 공식 규격과 함께, 예비 제조자는 이 특정 요건에 대해 항공기 또는 무기를 설계할지 여부를 선택할 것이다.
