Sahl Hasheesh (Arabic: سهل حشيش Egyptian Arabic pronunciation: [ˈsæhle ħæˈʃiːʃ]) is a bay located on the Red Sea coast of Egypt, across from Sharm El Sheikh, approximately 18 km south of Hurghada International Airport.[1][2]

Sahl Hashees Bay는 다이빙과 스노클링이 있는 많은 섬과 산호초가 있는 곳이다.인근 아보 하셰스 섬은 해양생물이 번성하는 지역 보호구역이다.[3]

개발

Sahl Hashehesh에 대한 개발권은 1995년 이 땅을 매입한 이집트 리조트 회사(ERC)가 보유하고 있다.ERC는 1995년에 설립되었고 1999년에 상장되었다.ERC는 이 지역을 위한 거대한 프로젝트에 대한 비전을 가지고 있었다.12평방 마일의 공동체를 위한 계획은 2020년까지 완성될 예정이었다.[4]건설업자가 밝힌 목표는 "장기적인 경제·환경 지속가능성 달성을 목표로, 완전 통합형 복합 리조트 도시를 만드는 것"[5]이었다.

Sahl Hasheesh에 있는 Old Town과 Palm 해변의 주택 단위는 2008년에 완공되어 빠르게 매진되었다.[6]팜비치 피아자와 패밀리 리조트 오션 브리즈는 Sahl Hashehesh에 있는 아파트와 빌라를 파는 다른 주거 프로젝트들이다.[7]

리조트 타운에는 부분적으로 물에 잠긴 인공 도시가 있다.이 인공 암초는 물고기를 끌어들이고 다이빙과 스노클링으로 관광객들에게 인기가 있다.[8][5]

2009년 오베로이 살 하쉬는 중동에서 가장 고급 리조트 중 하나로 평가받아 이집트 25대 특급호텔 트립어드바이저 2016 트래블러드 초이스 어워드([9][10]Trip Advisors 2016 Travelers Choice Award)에서 1위를 차지했다.이 리조트의 다른 호텔들도 후르가다 호텔 중 상위 10위 안에 들었다.[11]

블룸버그 파이낸셜은 2015년 개발사가 부동산을 매각하기 위해 고군분투하며 주식에서 많은 가치를 잃었다고 보도했다.[1]그러나 2016년 이 개발사는 재무 대차대조표가 튼튼했고 호텔들은 전 세계 관광객들로부터 높은 평가를 받고 있었다.[7]2016년 관광은 혁명 이전 수준으로 돌아가고 있었다.[12]

또 다른 개발사인 관성홀딩스는 2018년 현재 Sahl Hasheesh에 프로젝트를 가지고 있다.[13]

기후

Sahl Hashehes의 기후는 덥고 건조한 여름과 온화한 겨울과 함께 해안 건조성으로 특징지어진다.강우량은 적고 드물다.
