Sense는 영국의 [3][4]The Open University(OU)가 만든 교육용 프로그래밍 환경입니다.학생들에게 컴퓨터 프로그래밍의 기본을 가르치기 위해 설계된 드래그 앤 드롭 프로그래밍 환경을 사용합니다.사용 가능한 명령어 팔레트에서 선택한 다양한 모양과 색상의 "블록"을 사용합니다.즉, 학생은 프로그래밍에 대한 사전 경험이나 구문을 배울 필요가 없습니다.이 소프트웨어는 MIT Media [5]Lab에서 개발한 Scratch 프로그래밍 언어를 기반으로 하며 Scratch와 같은 .sb[6] 파일을 사용하지만 두 소프트웨어는 서로 [7]파일을 사용할 수 없습니다.

Sense 프로그래밍 환경은 USB [8][9]연결을 통해 사용자의 컴퓨터에 연결하는 특수 하드웨어인 SenseBoard와 함께 작동하도록 설계되었습니다.SenseBoard에는 적외선, 빛, 소리(마이크), 온도(온도계) 센서 등 입력 유형과 모터 및 발광 다이오드(LED)[10] 등의 출력이 있습니다.
