제외의 종류

맹장절제술은 급성 [3][4]맹장염의 경우에 사용되는 표준 치료법이다.미국에서 매년 [5]약 30만 명의 사람들이 맹장을 제거한다.

결장절제술은 다른 치료법에 내성이 있는 환자의 궤양성 대장염 치료에 사용된다.많은 경우, 결장을 제거하면 [6][7]병이 완전히 나을 수 있다.결장절제술은 대장암 치료에 사용될 수도 있다.
