타쿠르 비슈바 나레인 싱

타쿠르 비슈바 나레인 싱(Takur Vishva Narain Singh, 1928년 7월 30일 ~ 2009년 9월 29일)은 인도의 첫 점자 편집인이자 저명한 저널리스트였다. 데라둔에 있는 국립 시각 장애인 연구소의 출판부에서 점자 편집자로 활동했다. 은퇴 후에도 그는 계속해서 글을 쓰고 시내의 지역 일간지와 함께 일했다.

싱은 시각 장애인들을 위한 거대한 도서관을 만든 주요 건축가였다. 그는 힌두교의 종교 서적을 점자로 번역하는 일을 맡았다.

타쿠르 비슈바 나레인 싱은 2009년 9월 29일 가족 휴가 중 암스테르담에서 사망했다.

수상

• 싱은 점자문학 및 책의 점자 번역에 기여한 공로가 큰 공로로 1977년 소련 랜드 네루상을 수상하였다. 그는 그를 '인도 점자 문학의 아버지'라고 부른 아탈 비하리 바즈페이 당시 대외부 장관으로부터 상을 받았다.
• 그의 특별한 힌두교 교본 번역으로 싱은 마디아 프라데시 정부로부터 튤리스 마나스 프라티슈탄, 보팔 상을 받았다.
• 싱은 1987년 인도 아동교육위원회로부터 상을 받았다.
