이 유전자는 세포사멸 에 관여하는 것으로 생각되며, 조혈 의 발달과 분화에도 관여할 수 있다. 다른 ISO 양식을 인코딩하는 두 개의 다른 분할된 대본 변형이 이 유전자에 대해 발견되었다.[7]
