세포질 철-황 단백질 조립 단백질인 CIAO1은 인체에서 CIAO1 [5][6][7]유전자에 의해 암호화되는 단백질이다.CIAO1은 FAM96B, MMS19, 코샤페론 HSC20 및 비계단백질 ISCU와 복합체를 형성하여 세포질 [8][9]및 핵철황 단백질에 철황 클러스터 혼입을 돕는다.
