CLASB1은 동식물의[6] [7]세포피질에 미소관을 부착하는 데 관여하는 미소관 관련 단백질군에 속한다.CLASP1과 같은 CLASP는 CLIP(예: CLIP1)와 상호 작용합니다.동물세포에서 CLASP1은 운동공 및 [5][8]방추 전체의 미소관 역학 조절에 관여한다.CLASB1은 유사분열 시 별 미세관과 세포 피질의 상호작용을 제어하며,[9] 이는 스핀들의 적절한 위치 및 방향에 중요합니다.
