알래스카있는 데날리는 미국북미에서 가장 높은 산봉우리이다.데날리는 에베레스트 산과 아콩카과다음으로 지형적으로 세 번째로 두드러지고 지형적으로 고립된 산이다.

이 기사는 미국의 주요 산봉우리[1] 세 개의 정렬 가능한 표로 구성되어 있다.

산이나 언덕의 정상은 크게 세 가지 방법으로 측정할 수 있다.

  1. 정상의 지형적 고도는 측지학적 [2][3]해수면 위의 산꼭대기의 높이를 측정합니다.아래 첫 번째 표는 미국의 주요 정상 100위권이다.
  2. 정상의 지형적 돌출은 정상의 주변 [4][3]높이보다 얼마나 높은지 나타내는 척도이다.아래 두 번째 표는 미국의 가장 저명한 정상 50명의 순위를 매기고 있습니다.
  3. 정상의 지형적 고립(또는 지배 반지름)은 정상의 가장 가까운 [5]고도에서 얼마나 떨어져 있는지를 측정합니다.아래 세 번째 표는 미국의 가장 고립된 50개 주요 정상들의 순위를 나타내고 있습니다.

미국의 100개 주요 정상 중 데날리만이 6000m를 넘고, 4개 봉우리가 5000m를 넘고, 100개 봉우리가 모두 4012m를 넘는다.

이 100개의 정상들 중 53개가 콜로라도, 23개가 알래스카, 14개가 캘리포니아, 5개가 와이오밍, 2개가 하와이, 그리고 각각 워싱턴, 유타, 뉴멕시코에 위치해 있다.이 정상들 중 다섯 개는 알래스카와 유콘 사이의 국제 경계에 위치해 있고, 한 개는 알래스카와 브리티시컬럼비아 사이의 국제 경계에 위치해 있다.미국에서 가장 높은 10개의 주요 정상들은 모두 알래스카에 위치해 있다.
