이 유전자는 초기 반응 유전자의 TIS11 계열의 구성원이다.포르볼 에스테르 TPA 및 폴리펩타이드 마이트겐 EGF 등의 다양한 작용제에 의해 패밀리 멤버를 유도한다.그 유전자는 여러 종에 걸쳐 잘 보존되어 있으며 다른 초기 반응 유전자에서 볼 수 있는 모티브를 포함하는 프로모터를 가지고 있다.코드화된 단백질은 반복적인 cys-his 모티브를 가진 구별되는 추정 아연 핑거 도메인을 포함합니다.이 RNA 결합 단백질은 성장 [6]인자에 대한 반응을 조절하는 기능을 할 가능성이 높습니다.
