인터내셔널 컨텐더는 후기 벤 렉센(호주)으로 알려진 밥 밀러가 1967년 올림픽 핀딩기의 유력한 후계자로 고안한 싱글핸드 고성능 항해술이다.[3][4]

경쟁 상대는 등급 규정을 관리하는 범선 경기 운영 기관인 World Wasking에 의해 국제 등급으로 인정된다.

배경

"단독"은 한 사람이 항해하는 것을 의미한다. 그 배에는 트라페즈가 있어서 선원이 무게를 더 효과적으로 사용할 수 있다. 이 보트의 디자인은 좁거나 극단적인 크기 또는 무게 범위 내의 선원들을 선호하지 않는다. 과거의 챔피언들은 60kg에서 90kg 이상이다. 체력, 민첩성, 강인함이 유리하지만, 좋은 기술 항해 기술과 경험은 더 많은 것을 차지할 수 있다.

클래스 규칙 변경
